Ariza. Fall League season, Harper, Ackley shine brighter

Arizona Fall League ended Saturday with the Scottsdale Scorpions won the championship game 3-2 over Peoria Javelinas. The five weeks AFL season, he served as a showcase for top minor league prospects, many of them were full advantage of opportunities.

In the title game, the Washington Nationals phenomenon Bryce Harper went to run on the first pitch he saw in the second inning with an opposite field single. future of our citizens and many groups have played an important role in the victory.

Catcher Derek Norris singled and scored one of the group's work, as a starting pitcher Sammy Solis (for example, Harper, 2010, NAT member of the class project) tossed four strong innings to win, and reliever Cole Kimball pitched scoreless ninth for to save money.

Harper, who just turned 18 last month, is slated to begin in 2011 during the low season, Hagerstown. But if AFL performance was any indication, will not stay there long.

Playing only two times a week, "The Scorpions" member "group taxi, Harper hit .343 with one home run and seven RBI 1,039 OPS in 35 at bats.

Earlier in the day Mariners second base prospect Dustin Ackley was named league MVP after leading in batting average AFL (0.424), on base percentage (0.581), slugging (0.758) and runs scored (28).

Ackley and the Giants first base prospect Brandon Belt (.372/.427/.616) was clearly best players I saw during my brief visit to the AFL.
